Nel preparare questa bibliografia ho tentato di seguire seri criteri bibliografici.
Non sempre ci sono riuscito e me ne scuso. Sono elencati non solo i volumi consultati,
ma anche i testi che ritengo importanti sull’argomento. In più, quando possibile,
anche se irrituale, ho indicato di un testo sia le pagine sia le illustrazioni specificamente
dedicate agli zan par.
Credo che oggi, escludendo testi in lingue orientali che non conosco, non esista nessun’altra bibliografia
così focalizzata e che offra indicazioni così puntuali per trovare rapidamente in un testo
le pagine e le illustrazioni dedicate agli zan par.
Correzioni, suggerimenti e proposte di nuovi titoli da aggiungere per completare questo elenco

Zan Par : dove ?
Credo che possa essere utile aggiungere alla Bibliografia e Sitografia qui sopra, un elenco delle collezioni pubbliche e private nel mondo i cui sono presenti zan par tibetani. Ovviamente questo è un work in progress : elenco oggi forse nemmeno
il 20 % di quanto in realtà esiste. Compio questo primo temerario passo proprio per stimolare chiunque nel mondo voglia contribuire suggerendo i nomi di altri Musei, di collezioni pubbliche e private, e anche di gallerie antiquarie che hanno zan par. Ideale sarebbe avere sempre per ogni Museo il numero di inventario degli zan par presenti e se possibile fotografie.
I Musei che hanno zan par con numero di catalogo e foto hanno alla fine della riga un *. Per alcune località e per alcuni musei sono ancora in attesa di conferme. In questi casi aggiungo perciò la sigla “wfc” che sta per ‘waiting for confirmation’ (in inglese non per snobismo, ma perché gli interlocutori sono perlopiù non italiani). Elenco anche Musei nei quali già so che non ci sono zan par perchè anche un “No” può essere un’informazione preziosa per evitare inutili ricerche. Ringrazierò personalmente per ogni suggerimento, citerò la fonte della notizia e sarò lieto di festeggiare a Venezia con cicheti e ombre chiunque vorrà offrire il proprio contributo a questa lista.
